"RAW COMBAT"
For the uninitiated, combat fighting matches opponents from a mixture of wrestling and martial arts disciplines, including Street Fighting, Jiu Jitsu, Hap Do Sool and Tae Kwon Do. And that is about all you need to know. Once in the ring, almost anything goes. Bare-knuckle punching, head butts, elbows, kicking, wrestling, its all legal. Which, I have to confess, makes for some enthralling viewing. Remember, these fights aren't choreographed like WCW and there are no pulled punches or fake blood. This is the real thing. And it can be pretty brutal. In the self-billed superbout a 228lb wrestler takes on a 225lb pitfighter. Three kicks to the head and a thundering right hook in the opening minute leave the wrestler stretched out in the corner with a swollen forehead and a blood-soaked face.
